On Monday, December 9, several members of Orangefield's Uprising Club spent the day sorting toys to help the Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance. Teacher Fired After Incident
On Friday an Little Cypress-Mauriceville substitute teacher was terminated following an incident at the Little Cypress Junior High School. Superintendent Stacey Brister confirmed that the employee, who had substituted in the district for several years, was removed from campus on Friday. Bass Teams Place Four In Top Ten
Vidor and LCM's Bass Clubs braved the conditions to fish in the DETX Toys for Tots Tournament at Jackson Hill Marina Saturday. Vidor's Caden Wiliamson and Braden Norton finished second with 19.63. They are the current DETX AOY leaders. The Bears brought in a trio of fishermen in the Top Ten. Brenden Gallier was 6th, Cullen Simon 7th, and Jay Delk 9th. After 32 years of dedicated service as the District Attorney of Orange County, John D. Kimbrough is retiring. Kimbrough and his wife Kelly, whom he met at the Orange County Courthouse, will be starting their next chapter in the Texas Hill Country where they can be nearer to their sons Ryan and Grant.
