The Orange Amateur Radio Club will be hosting another "Hamfest" this February 21st-22nd, 2025 at the Expo Center located 11475 FM 1442. This will be a two day event. Entry is 10 dollars ,(one time purchase) kids 12 and under are free. You will need wrist band to enter the Main Hall. Plenty of door prizes and raffles . Main prizes for Saturday are (Icom IC-7300, Yaesu FR-710, and Icom IC-2730A) . Friday main prize is Icom IC-2730A also. No need to be present for main prizes. On Saturday, February 1st, 2025, at about 4:02 AM, the City of Orange Police Department, West Orange PD and Texas Department of Public Safety conducted a traffic stop in the 3500 block of Masonic Drive. The traffic stop was a part of an ongoing investigation into the illegal distribution of methamphetamine. During the stop, officers located 2.5 Kilograms of methamphetamine. Fog Maybe A Factor In Accident
The Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers investigated a crash on Interstate Highway 10 west, near Claiborne Park at the 866-mile marker, that occurred Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 2:55 a.m., a 2023 Kenworth truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling west in the outside lane. Man Shot In Roselawn
Late Monday night Orange Police were patrolling the Roselawn neighborhood after several incidents over the last month. They encountered a man with a rifle near Bluebonnet and Hydrangea. He pointed the rifle at the officers, he was then ordered to put the rifle down. When he didn't comply officers shot back and hit the man one time in the leg. None of the officers were injured.
