Orange police have a “person of interest” they would like to interview about the shooting death of 33-year-old John Wolford Flanagan, Detective Captain Robert Enmon said.
He said several people saw the shooting and investigators would like them to help find the shooter. They can call the Orange Police Department at 409-883-1026. He said people who want to be anonymous may call Southeast Texas Crimestoppers at 409-833-TIPS (8477).
Police were called to the James Zay Roberts Apartments, 610 Burton Avenue, at 11 p.m. Thursday after the shooting. Acadian Ambulance took Flanagan to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont where he died of his injuries.
Captain Enmon said Flanagan was shot three times and the head wound was fatal. Investigators think a handgun was used. As of Friday, no gun had been found.
