Calls To Service (October 21, 2024, to October 27, 2024): The Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) answered 54 calls to service.
Jail Population: We currently have 18 inmates in the following jails;
13 housed in Newton, 2 housed in Beauregard, and 3 housed in Jasper.
Jail Transports: NCSO had 2 jail transports:
1 from Byrd Unit to NCSO, 1 from NCSO to Hospital.
