
Michael Wayne Daniel, 69, of Houston, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2025, at Memorial Hermann Greater Heights Hospital in Houston.
Michael was born on June 1, 1956, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Dorothy L. and Jules Daniel. He was a resident of Houston for the past 26 years.
A graduate of Lutcher Stark High School in 1974, Michael went on to study as a Computer Assembly Technician. He served his country with honor in the United States Air Force from June 1974 to March 1980, receiving an Honorable Discharge. In his civilian life, Michael was a hard worker who held various positions as a sandblaster, painter, and forklift driver.
Michael was a man of faith and a member of the Baptist church. He will be remembered for his strength and kindness; his hobbies included weightlifting, reading, and doing volunteer work. Above all, he found joy in offering encouragement to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Jules Daniel.
Michael leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Donald Paul Daniel of Smithville, Texas; his sister, Tonette Wilkes of Houston, Texas; and his special 1st cousin, Arthalia “Poochie” Williams of Orange, Texas.
Home going celebration will be Saturday December 20, 2025 at Colonial Memorial Chapel located at 1512 10th street in Orange. Service begins at 11:00 am. Visitation starts at 9:30 am til time of service. Interment will follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Orange.
