Mark, A.K.A. “Heavy” Thibodeaux, was born on July 15, 1964, in Orange, Texas to the late Alma and Paul Thibodeaux. He attended school at West Orange Stark High School and was a graduate of the Class of 1982.
Mark was the proud owner of M&P Automotive. His passion was doing paint and body work. He was a
perfectionist. When your vehicle left his shop, he made sure there were no spots or blemishes before he let you pick it up. He always made sure his customers and family’s vehicles were taken care of. Mark also loved vehicles and did not keep one for too long. He was always looking for vehicles online to see what his next purchase would be.
“Heavy” had the most beautiful smile and was full of laughter. He loved dogs. Mark kept him a couple of pit bulls and would travel all over to get them. Mark also loved to “catch” white perch. Although, his way of “catching” them was being blessed by someone and having someone else clean them for him. He would always share his “catch” with his family and tell them to get whatever they wanted. Mark also loved to travel with his family for vacations and evacuations. During hurricane season, he always wanted to know where everyone was going so, he wouldn’t be left behind. One of his favorite things to do was eat. He would always fix his “to-go” plate before he ate his meal to make sure he had some leftovers to bring home. For any holiday, no matter where it was being held, he would always ask the host what they needed him to bring. “Heavy” loved Zena’s chocolate pie so much that he would sneak out with the whole pie without anyone knowing until they were ready to get a slice. That is until everyone figured out what he was doing. Zena knew from then on, she had to make two pies because Mark was going to take one. Most of all, Mark loved his family unconditionally. He would do anything for them and with them. He would express to everyone how much he loved his family and how close they were.
Mark is preceded in death by both of his parents, Paul, and Alma Thibodeaux. Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved brother, Paul Mandel Thibodeaux and special sister-in-law Zena, his beloved sister, Debra Thibodeaux, two special nephews, Mark Paul Thibodeaux (Kristy) and Demorris Mandel Thibodeaux Sr., special niece, Victoria Thibodeaux, great niece, Kayla Simone Thibodeaux, great nephews, Demarcus Thibodeaux, Mark Malik Thibodeaux, and Demorris Mandel Thibodeaux Jr., special loved ones, Tiffany Bell, Honesty Nicole Wallace, Nala K.
