On Monday, March 9, 2026, at approximately 6:42 A.M., officers with the Vidor Police Department were dispatched to the area of Lexington Street and the Interstate 10 Eastbound Service Road in Vidor in reference to an unresponsive individual lying in a roadside ditch near the Eastgate Church.
Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive white male. The individual did not have any identification on his person at the time he was discovered.
Detectives with the Vidor Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
At this time, no additional information is being released as detectives work to positively identify the individual and notify next of kin.
