
Mabel Lorene Burnham, 84, of Vidor, Texas, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.
A native of Orange, Texas, Mabel was a longtime resident of Vidor and a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Deweyville. She dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker and found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Mabel enjoyed flower gardening, working in her yard, and spending time with her family. One of her greatest delights was listening to her son sing, a pastime that brought her much happiness and cherished memories.
Known for her loving heart and gentle spirit, Mabel treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her devotion to her family and her faith left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Bessie Ledbetter of Vidor, Texas, and Janis Paulk and husband, Larry, of Deville, Louisiana; son, David Burnham and wife, Brenda, of Mauriceville, Texas; grandchildren, Ashlyn LeJeune, Byron Burnham, Justin King, Dustin Burnham, Emily Ledbetter, Christopher Ledbetter, Bethany Ledbetter, Eric Johnson and Jodie Ducote; eleven great-grandchildren; along with numerous other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Mabel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Burnham; her parents James and Mae Lamar; and her brother, Jimmie Lamar Jr.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the warmth she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
