
The ladies wrapped up district play Tuesday with Orangefield, Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Bridge City and Deweyville earning spots in the postseason.
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats wrapped up an undefeated district campaign with a 39-35 win over Buna. For the 22-3A District Champs, Emmi Lummus 12 points 3 rebounds; Madison Greenway 8 points 3 rebounds 2 steals; Jacey Bourque 8 points 3 rebounds 3 steals; Faith Fregia 8 points; Tatum Garlington 7 rebounds and 2 points.
Bridge City (above) beat Lumberton 62-59 to claim a playoff spot for the third straight season. For the Cards: Madison Fischer 13 pts, Hannah Wiegreffe 10 pts, Reesie Ryder 8 pts, Caitlin Denison 8 pts. BC, now 22-13 and 6-6 in district, will play Livingston (TBA).

Deweyville Lady Pirates over Evadale Lady Rebels 42-37 to finish district play at 6-2, and finish second in District 24-2A play. Freshman Brooke Sims led all scorers with a career high 13 points. Freshman Aleigha Raymer had 9 points, Senior point guard Jada Freeland had 7, including 3 crucial free throws in the final moments, Junior Maggie LaVergne had 5, Sophomore Reagan Chance had 4 points, all coming in the final quarter, Sophomore Jacelyn Reed and Payton Waldrum each had 2 points.
LCM beat WOS 62-31 to claim the third place spot in the district. Britney Wyatt had 12 points and 6 rebounds, Karly Rogers 11 and 16 rebounds, Chelsea Perry had 8 pts, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. It was also senior night for the Lady Bears as Coach Michalko and the team honored seniors Karly Rogers, Danielle Pelt, and trainer Alexis Trichell.
