Joseph Savignano was born November 20, 1944, and passed away November 2, 2026, at the age of 81, at home surrounded by his family.
Joseph was a loving father, family member, and friend who lived life with a curious mind, a talented spirit, and a wonderful sense of humor. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for seven years, a commitment that reflected his dedication and love of country.
A true jack of all trades, Joseph loved learning new things and had a talent for figuring out just about anything. He had a passion for guns, music, and playing instruments. One of his proudest memories was playing the accordion at the Ted Mack Hour in New York City at just 10 years old, showing his musical talent at an early age.
Joseph loved making people laugh and bringing smiles to those around him. He enjoyed spending time at Leslie’s Restaurant, where he found comfort in good food and familiar faces. He was also a faithful member of St. Frances Catholic Church in Orange, Texas, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
Above all, Joseph loved his family. They were his greatest blessing, and the memories, laughter, lessons, and love he shared with them will be treasured forever.
He is survived by his children, Angelia Dietz and husband Brian, Michael Savignano, and Len Savignano and wife Heather; grandchildren, Tristen LeBlanc and fiancé Shelby Gibson, Johnathon Savignano and wife Kattllin, Jordan Savignano, Jaydan Straley, Cailen Savignano, Kara Carnahan and husband Chase, and Ryan Dietz; great grandchildren, Blakely Savignano, Oakley Savignano, Braylen Savignano, Everleigh Savignano, Vivian Savignano, and Grayson Savignano; cousin, Sarah Jane Graham, long time best friend, Stacey Burns and husband Skeet and children, Eric, Brooke, and Brandon, who he loved and cherished; and his beloved cat, Beaux Diddles.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Sadie Savignano; and aunt Mary Rao.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2026, at Dorman – Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at a later time.
