James “Jimmy” Stringer Jr. was born May 25, 1961, and passed away September 2, 2026, at the age of 65.
Jimmy passed away at his home is Orange, Texas, where he resided almost his entire life. Jimmy provided for his family with decades of service at Printpac packaging plant. However, his real love was always music. An avid guitar player, from a young age he knew that music unites humanity in ways that cannot otherwise be expressed.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Michele Moore; uncles, Ted Selman and Carl Selman.
He is survived by his father, James Stringer, Sr; children, Katrina Stringer and husband Chuck King, and Jarlaith “Jeremy” Stringer; grandchildren, Bodhi King; numerous cousins and friends.
His light in this world will be missed, but the music will always play on.
Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2026, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North Orange, Texas. Rev. Mike Streams will be officiating.
