The Celebration of Life for Mr. Jimmy Smith, 80, of Orange, will be Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10am at Community Church.
Rites of Christian Burial will follow at Hollywood Community Cemetery under the direction of
Sparrow Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 9 until 10am.
Jimmy Smith was born June 5, 1942, in LeCompte, LA to Beatrice Johnson Smith and Samuel (Brownie) Smith.
He has resided in Orange 65 years and was a member of Community Church.
His working years were spent at Equitable Bag Company and as a Custodian in the West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District, both of which he retired from.
He passed November 9, 2022, at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith of Orange, two sons, Sheldon Smith (Evelyn) of Silsbee, TX, and Desmond Smith (Dana) of Beaumont, TX, two blended sons, Patrick Bushnell, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA and Demarcus Bushnell (Paris) of Orange, three daughters, Sherleta Smith and Stephanie Smith, both of Beaumont, TX and Stephanie Tolliver-Clark of Oklahoma City, OK, two blended daughters, Yetta Kelly of Alexandria , LA and Zowanda Girtmon (Chad) of Lake Charles, one brother, William Smith (Harnell) of Orange, one sister, Laverne Hodge of Los Angeles, CA, 29 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
