
Jerry Isbell of Orange County, Tx was born October 22, 1941 in Gorman, Tx to Earl and Beulah (Alexander) Isbell. He passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on September 17, 2025 at the age of 83.
Jerry retired from DuPont in 2003 after 36 years of employment. He also retired from the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard after 23 years of service to his country. He served as Commander of VFW Post 2775 from 1981-1983.
Jerry was a beloved member of the Cowboy Church of Orange County for many years, where he rededicated his life August 14, 2022. One of his greatest joys was spending time with family, especially his great-grandchildren who knew him as FawFaw.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lana Isbell; siblings, Billy Isbell and Joe Bob Isbell; children, Lesli Jan Phariss and fiancé Tom Tincher, Amy Lynn Clevenger and husband Tim; grandchildren, Tabitha Menges and husband Will, John David Benton and wife Bethany, Drew Clevenger and fiancé Shasta, Blake Clevenger, Timothy Newsom, Alyssa Petrishen and husband Luke, Ernest Neil Tims and wife Brittany, and Trevor Phariss and fiancé Hope Peveto; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents Earl and Beulah Isbell; siblings, Kenneth Isbell and Virginia Rutledge; sisters in law Barbara Isbell and Lene Isbell; nephews, Weldon Earl Isbell and Donald Earl Isbell Sr.
Mr. Isbell has chosen to be cremated.
Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., October 4,2025, at Cowboy Church of Orange, Texas 77632.
