A woman’s home that has been talked about frequently on social media burned Saturday. Fortunately she was not home at the time.
The home was a small trailer with a lot of debris around it on the west side of Hwy. 62, about three miles north of Hwy. 12. South Newton County Fire was dispatched to put out the blaze. There’s no power to the trailer.
There have been discussions about the property on social media. Some have talked about bringing the woman food and others wanting the area to be cleaned up. Newton Co. Sheriff Colton Havard made some calls and said the woman was currently in a nursing home facility.
