
Fifteen year old Aundrion Perdue from Orange was killed in an automobile accident in Houston over the weekend.
The young man was a student at West Orange-Stark. There were two others in the car who survived but their condition is unknown at this time.
Houston police said the fatal crash in the 18200 block of Katy Freeway (West Interstate Highway 10) about 4:25 a.m. on Sunday (March 1).
A gray Kia Sportage was traveling at a high rate of speed when the vehicle was taking the Greenhouse exit off the freeway. The vehicle clipped the exit sign, left the roadway onto a grassy area, clipped a tree, went sideways into another tree and the vehicle was split in half. One male passenger was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
Houston Fire Department paramedics transported the male driver, 16, and another male passenger, 24, to an area hospital.
No other vehicles were involved.
WOSHS confirmed the accident and announced that counselors from Samaritan Counseling Center will be at the high school Monday to help students and staff through this trying time.
