Peyton Havard, a University of Louisiana Lafayette product from Bridge City, scattered six hits and allowed one run over six innings with no walks and nine strikeouts as the Alton (ILL) River Dragons beat the Clinton LumberKings 10-2 in Prospect League play.
The Prospect League is a wooden bat summer league for collegiate players.
Havard improved to 3-0 on the season in his fourth start and lowered his earned-run average to 1.85. He has 25K’s in 24 innings pitched.
