Bridge City Independent School District proudly celebrated the official groundbreaking of its new Performing Arts Center in May, marking a significant milestone in the district’s commitment to student achievement and the arts.
Members of the Bridge City ISD Board of Trustees joined representatives from G&G Enterprises, the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the project, and Claycomb Architects to commemorate the beginning of construction on the highly anticipated facility.
The Performing Arts Center was made possible through the voter-approved 2025 Bond, reflecting the community’s investment in the future of Bridge City students and educational programs. The new facility will provide a state-of-the-art venue for student performances, concerts, theatrical productions, and other Fine Arts activities, enhancing opportunities for creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
“This groundbreaking represents more than the start of a construction project—it symbolizes our community’s commitment to providing Best in Class opportunities for our students,” said the Bridge City ISD Board President, Rebecca Rutledge. “We are grateful to our voters for supporting the 2025 Bond and helping make this vision a reality.”
Once completed, the Performing Arts Center will serve as a centerpiece for the district’s Fine Arts programs, offering students a modern space to showcase their talents while creating opportunities for community engagement and celebration.
Bridge City ISD extends its appreciation to the community, Board of Trustees, G&G Enterprises, Claycomb Architects, district staff, and all stakeholders who have contributed to bringing this project from concept to construction.
The district looks forward to sharing updates throughout the building process and celebrating the completion of a facility that will benefit generations of students and families.
