Jesse Allen Griffin, 31, of Vidor received two 14-year stacked sentences this week in Judge Courtney Arkeen’s courtroom.
In October 2019, Griffin was traveling west on Interstate 10 in his GMC pickup at a high rate of speed when he sideswiped a Hyundai passenger vehicle, then rear-ended a Ford pickup truck.
The Driver of the Ford, Vernon Morris, 40, and his passenger, Alvin Beck, 45, both of Mississippi, were both pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Rodney Price.
Griffin was charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter and had a bond totaling one million dollars that was set by JP Hershel Stagner.
