It was a memorable night for the Orangefield Lady Bobcats as they celebrated their seniors’ for their last home game against the West Orange Stark Lady Mustangs. Both our JV and Varsity took a big win. The JV started the night off strong with a phenomenal team effort win. Freshman Addisyn Moore was our leading score tonight with 12 points as Kennedy Thibodeaux was close behind with 7. Ava Dyer pitched in 6 points while Maci Waguespack had 5.
The varsity showed true stamina tonight in their 46-31 victory over the Lady Mustangs on senior night. They fought hard defensively, and showed true ownership of the court. There were two leading scorers tonight with one being Greenlea Oldham with 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 block. Harleigh Rawls also had 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Senior Joli Ponfick had 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Madison Greenway, a senior, had 6 points and was our leading rebounder for the night with 9. Last but not least senior Jaslyn Newman chipped in 4 points and 2 blocks.

LCM beat Vidor 71-47. The Bears (21-9, 7-2) were once again led by ben Elliott’s 26 points followed by Alantheon Winn with 18. Kaine Humberson had 11 pts, 11 assists and 6 rebounds. Brice Loftin had 21 to lead Vidor.

The Bridge City Cardinals defeated the Vidor Pirates 3-1 on a cold, windy night at Dan Hooks Stadium in West Orange to improve to 2-1 in district play. The Cardinals are playing there due to field upgrades at Larry Ward stadium in Bridge City. Freshman midfielder Hudson Campbell opened the scoring for the red birds. Vidor quickly responded to make the match 1-1 at half. Junior forward, Jaden Martinez scored the Cards second goal, assisted by Keaton Doucet. Freshman defenseman Austin Bellanger scored the third goal of the match on a penalty kick midway through the second half to bring the score to 3-1 and that would prove to be the final. Playing well defensively for the Red Birds was Eric Carranza, Kyler Garlaska and Joe Murty. Goalkeeper Sebastian Sandino was also stout all night for the Cardinals. Bridge City will host the Lumberton Raiders, Tuesday 7PM at Dan Hooks Stadium.

LCM got a 3-2 win against Lumberton tonight. David Jordan scored all 3 goals for the Bears. JV also hosted Lumberton tonight in a hard fought game with a 1-2 loss. Hunter James made the goal for the Bears.

The Lady Bears traveled to Lumberton on Friday night to take on the Lady Raiders in their fourth district match of the season. Despite battling all night and holding them to only two goals in the first half, the Bears fell short against a good Raiders team 7-1. Annabelle Fisher scored on a penalty kick after being fouled in the box to put the Lady Bears on the board. Tuesday will be a bye for the Lady Bears, and they will be back on the pitch against Bridge City in West Orange next Friday. Their district record stands at 3-1 and overall 8-5-1.
