
The LCM Bears were down in the first inning 3-0 to Silsbee but fought back with two runs in the bottom of the seventh to win 4-3. Parker Seago provided the fireworks with a walk off single to score Justin McCarver. Landon Richards came in after the Tigers went up in the first and stopped the Tigers offense with 5.2 innings of shutout baseball with 9K’s. Parker Freeman pitched a scoreless seventh. Dreyden Cook blasted a HR to left field.

WOS lost to Lumberton 26-3. Diego Ibarra had a hit for the Mustangs.

Orangefield came back to beat Buna 7-5. The Bobcats scored two in the sixth and two in the seventh after being down 5-2 in the fifth. Carson Worthy singled in the seventh. Colton Michael came in to pinch run, stole second and third, and then came home on an error to give OF the lead. Kale Spears scored after an error by the shortstop. Kaleb Menard had 3RBI’s in the game and pitchers Cole Sanches, Raegan Valka and Spears combined for the win.

For the 24th consecutive season the Bridge City Cardinals have punched their ticket to the postseason after beating Jasper 7-1. Carson Sauceda was 2-3 with 2RBI’s.

Deweyville blanked Hull-Daisetta 15-0. Gray and Evans with 2 hits each and Gray also pitched a two hit shutout with six strikeouts.
SOFTBALL
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the Buna Lady Cougars 13-0 in 5 innings Friday night to set a new school record in wins with 29. The school record for 28 was set in 2024. It was also Coach Rebekah Ragsdale’s 200th win. And on top of that Teal Kibodeaux threw a no hitter with 10 strikeouts!
Jocelyn Droddy led the offense with 2 singles, a triple and 3 RBIs. Teal Kibodeaux had a single, a double, a triple and 2 runs scored. Hallee Becker had 2 singles, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Paisley Reeves had 2 singles, 3 RBIs and a run scored. Brennah Lee had a 2 RBI single and a run scored. Charlee Sanches had a single, a walk, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored. Alysen Vincent had a single, a walk, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Audrey Sonnier had 2 runs scored. Peyton Vincent had a run scored. The Lady Bobcats improve to 29-4 overall and 13-0 in district play. They will travel to Anahuac on Tuesday for a district only match-up beginning at 6:00 for their final district game.

Bridge City lost to Galveston Ball in a non-district game 12-1 in 6 innings. BC had four hits and nine errors. The hits came from Yeaman, Knight, Droddy, and Christian.

LCM beat Jasper 9-2 to secure the 18-4A District Title. Once again catcher Lexis Moss lead the offense going 2-4 with a HR and 4RBI’s. Kendall Jones was 2-4 with 2RBI’s and Tessa Erickson was 4-5 with and RBI and she got the win in the circle with 10K’s. Congrats to Coach Dena Adkins and the Lady Bears!
