The LCM Lady Bears improved to 3-0 in district with a 4-1 win at Vidor Friday. The Lady Pirates took a 1-0 lead in the first and the Bears responded with four unanswered. Frenzel, Jones and Erickson all had two hits and Ella Stephenson got the win with a no-hitter! (Above, Tessa Erickson slides under the tag)
Teal Kibodeaux threw a no-hitter as the Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated East Chambers 8-0 to improve to 3-0 (19-4) in district play. Kibodeaux surrendered one walk and struck out 14. Charlee Sanches led the offense going 4 for 4 with a triple, 2 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Alysen Vincent added 2 hits with a run scored and 3 RBIs. Hallee Becker reached base 3 times with 2 singles, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Teal Kibodeaux had a single and a run scored. Jocelyn Droddy had a double and a walk. Laila Agerton had a single and an RBI. Madi LaSalle added a single, and Brennah Lee had a walk and a run scored. OF will host to Kountze Tuesday night with varsity only at 6:00. The JV Lady Bobcats fell to East Chambers 3-2 for the first loss of the season. Kamryn Kelley led the offense with two hits and a run scored. Kinsley Rush also had a hit and Addison Leblanc had a run scored.
Bridge City run-ruled Lumberton 12-2. Cambree LaComb struck out 9 for the win and had an RBI double. McKenna Knight was 3-4 with 2RBI’s and Ella Droddy collected 4RBI’s on the night and leadoff Gabby Moore was 2-2 with 2 runs scored.
Deweyville whipped Big Sandy 15-1. Baylee Smith struck out nine and went 3-4 with 3RBI’s. Lakyn Williams was 3-5 with an RBI, and Braley Revere was 2-4 with 3RBI’s and a double. The LP’s are 2-0 in district.
