The Lutcher Theater invites the community to discover rewarding ways to get involved at the Volunteer Drive on Thursday, August 6, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lutcher Theater located at 707 Main Avenue in Orange, TX.
The Volunteer Drive will showcase the many ways to get involved at Lutcher Theater, from welcoming theater patrons to supporting arts education programs. Opportunities include Event Planning, Audience Development, Hospitality, Membership, Patron Services, and SLAP (Sets, Lights, Audio and Props).
“Our volunteers are the heart of the Lutcher Theater experience,” said Lynae Sanford, executive director of the Lutcher Theater. “From welcoming guests and supporting performances to caring for our cast and crew, they play a vital role in delivering a world-class experience for every visitor. We’re excited to welcome new volunteers who want to make a meaningful impact in our community.”
The evening will include a short presentation highlighting the Lutcher volunteers’ impact, a tour of the theater and time to visit with current volunteers and staff. The Volunteer Drive also serves as the annual registration event for current volunteers, who will complete their registration for the upcoming season and reconnect with fellow volunteers before the new season begins. Guests are also invited to enjoy a home-cooked meal prepared by the Lutcher’s Hospitality Team, featuring recipes from the very cookbook they use to “cook for the stars” who perform at the Lutcher Theater. Whether you can give a few hours a month or several days a week, there’s a role that’s just right for you.
The Lutcher Theater is a 1,500-seat performing arts facility owned by the Nelda C. and H. J. Lutcher Stark Foundation and operated by Lutcher Theater, Inc. It is the largest Performing Arts Series from Houston, Texas, to New Orleans, Louisiana.
