
LCM beat Northside Home School 3-2 in the Certa-Bearden Tournament. The Bears won in walk off fashion after Marco Bandiero drew a bases loaded walk. Brice Frenzel and Jake Raney combined for the pitching victory, giving up one earned run and striking out six. The Bears lost to Kelly 2-0. Landon Richards gave up 1 earned run on 3 hits in 5 inn. with 4K’s and 3 walks. The Bears had 3 hits.

Orangefield beat Cornerstone Christian 7-2. Cameron Dearing was 3-3 with a triple, double and a single. Carson Gonzales drove in three runs and Kaleb Menard K’d 5 and walked one in 6 inn. for the win.

WOS lost to Buna 10-0. N. Robles had the only hit for WOS against D. Midkiff for Buna who struck out 11.

Bridge City beat Giddings 12-2. Austin Frederick was 3-3 with 2RBI. Hutch Bearden and Hunter Ford had 2 hits a piece. Cards lost to Madisonville 4-3. Ford had 2 of BC’s five hits.

Vidor lost to Hudson in the PNG Tournament 7-4 as Hudson used a 5 run 4th to propel them to victory.

SOFTBALL
The Orangefield Lady Bobcats won two games today on day two of the Cleveland tournament defeating Tarkington 9-2 and Humble 5-3.
Game 1 vs. Tarkington – Abigail Curphey got the win on the mound giving up 1 earned run on 3 hits with 5 strikeouts. The Lady Bobcats totaled 10 hits in the game. Charlee Sanches led the offense including a solo homerun 3 RBIs and 3 runs scored. Alysen Vincent had a single, and RBI and a run scored. Brenna Lee had a hit and an RBI. Paris Becker had 2 singles and 2 runs scored. Paisley Reeves had a run scored. Aubree Beck, Abby Broussard and Abigail Curphey all added singles. Haylee Spears had an RBI. Hallee Becker had a hit and a run scored. Audrey Sonnier had a run scored.
Game 2 vs. Humble – Charlee Sanches got the win on the mound giving up 1 earned run on 4 hits with no walks and 9 strikeouts. Charlee Sanches had a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored. Paris Becker had a triple, an RBI, a walk and run scored. Abby Broussard had a HBP, a single and an RBI. Hallee Becker had 2 singles and 2 runs scored. Greenlea Oldham drew 2 walks and had a run scored. Alysen Vincent added a single. The Lady Bobcats improve to 12-5-1 and open up gold bracket play tomorrow at 4:00.

Freshman Jada Juneau picked up her first varsity win as Bridge City beat Lufkin 5-4. Anna Autrey also homered and had two hits. Knight and Droddy also had two hits each.
BC lost to Dayton 8-0. The Cards had two hits (Autrey, Droddy)

At the Evadale Tournament, WOS tied Spurger 5-5 and lost to Deweyville 5-1. Deweyville also beat Evadale 1-0 as Baylee Smith struck out 11.

LCM won three games Friday in the Franklin Tournament to improve to 14-3. They beat Normangee 24-0 scoring all 24 in two innings. Ava Wright had 3 RBI’s and Tess Erickson struck out 7 in 3 innings.
Against Rogers, Keylie Washburn homered to tie the game at 5 in the third and the Lady Bears would go on to win 8-6. LCM won their night game scoring 5 runs in the 8th for a 6-5 win over White Oak. Abby Sepulvado had the big hit in the inning with a 3 run single.
