Four people were taken to a Beaumont hospital Tuesday after an accident north of Orange.
The accident occurred at approximately 3:30pm Jan. 23 at the intersection of Hwy. 87 and Little Cypress Drive.
Orange Police say a brown Chevy Silverado was traveling south on Hwy. 87. A white Nissan was at the stop sign on LC Drive facing east. The Nissan failed to yield the right of way to the pickup and tried to cross the highway. The truck struck the sedan on the passenger door on the left side.
The driver of the Nissan had to be extricated from the vehicle. There were two patients in each vehicle and all four went to the hospital according the report.
The accident shut down traffic on both sides of Hwy. 87 for almost an hour.
