The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has Orange County and most of Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana under a wind chill advisory and hard freeze warning for Monday night through early Wednesday morning.
Orange County has partnered with Red Cross and Orange Church of God, in Orange to provide a warming station starting Monday, January 15, 2024 and Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 5 pm to 8 am at Orange Church of God Embassy of Grace, 1911 North 16th Street, Orange, Texas 77630. A warming station is a short-term emergency shelter that operates when temperatures or a combination of precipitation and wind chill, become dangerously inclement. Their paramount purpose is the prevention of death and injury from exposure to the elements
