
Farley Monceaux, Sr. was born August 24, 1935, and passed away March 17, 2026, at the age of 90.
Farley was a man of quiet strength, steady patience, and unwavering character. Known for his kind heart and straightforward nature, he never hesitated to speak his mind or stand firm in what he believed was right. Those who knew him respected his honesty, his resilience, and the calm confidence he carried through life.
He found his greatest joy in the people he loved. Family was at the center of everything he did, and he took pride in being present, dependable, and deeply devoted. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply spending time together, he created lasting memories that will continue to be cherished.
He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and the freedom it offered. Hunting and fishing were more than hobbies, they were moments of peace, reflection, and connection to the world around him. He also had a passion for motorcycles, embracing the open road with a sense of independence and adventure.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty and honor with him throughout his life. His service reflected his commitment to something greater than himself, a value he upheld in all that he did.
He is survived by his children, Farley “Bug” Monceaux, Jr. and wife Karen, Faron “Chapo” Monceaux and wife Danya, Felicia “Gilla” Tarbutton, Farrell “Peanut” Monceaux and wife Rhonda, Jerald Monceaux and wife Kristy, Mike Monceaux and wife Sharayena, and Tracy Dunnwoody; 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and siblings, Sharon Stroups and husband Leonard, and Calvin Monceaux and wife Dolly.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dolores “Dolo” Monceaux; second wife, and Cynthia Monceaux; parents, Jimmy and Virgie Monceaux; and brother, Carl Monceaux.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2026, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Internment to follow at Autumn Oaks Cemetery, Orange, Texas.
