Envision Orange 2050: A Community-Led Comprehensive Plan
The City of Orange is excited to announce Envision Orange 2050, a comprehensive planning effort that will guide the city’s development and quality of life now and in the years ahead. The plan establishes a shared vision for Orange, helping the City prioritize projects, secure funding, and take meaningful action today while making steady progress within a larger, long-term strategy.
Community Engagement
Community participation is the foundation of this comprehensive plan effort. Your input will help shape long-term goals that reflect community values, the objectives needed to achieve them, and the policies and actions that will bring the shared vision to life. Residents, business owners, and stakeholders are invited to contribute throughout the planning process by:
• Completing Surveys: A new survey will be available during each phase of the planning process. Every survey explores different topics and provides a new opportunity to share your thoughts on matters ranging from broad community goals to specific issues like land use, housing, transportation, and economic development. Completing one survey does not replace the next—your input is valuable at every stage.
• Attending Open House Meetings: Open houses provide a space to learn about the planning process, explore informational displays, and share your ideas with City staff and fellow community members. As the process moves forward, the focus of each meeting will shift to reflect the current phase, so participation in multiple meetings is encouraged. o Upcoming Open House Meetings:
▪ Location: Planning and Community Development Building, 303 N. 8th Street ▪ Dates: December 9 & 16 and January 7, 14, & 21
▪ Time: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Your input is key to creating a plan that represents the priorities of our community. Thank you for participating in shaping the future of Orange!
