Mr. Edward Joseph Hale Jr., age 87, of Bronson, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021, at CHI St. Luke’s Medical Center in San Augustine, Texas.
Born October 29, 1933, in San Diego, California, Mr. Hale was a former longtime resident of Bridge City. Upon retirement from Firestone, he moved to the Bronson area and enjoyed the beautiful outdoors. Mr. Hale faithfully served his country as a U.S. Air Force veteran and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion.
His survivors include his wife, Audrey Mae Hale of Bronson, Texas; his children, Michael Edward Hale of Mauriceville, Texas, Daniel Glenn Hale of Buna, Texas, Kathy Hutson and husband Jerry of Bronson, Texas, and Gary Paul Hale of Lees Summitt, Missouri; a sister, Mary Ellen Ener of Bridge City, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Edward Joseph Hale Sr.; and a daughter, Carolyn Ann Milam.
Private services will be held with interment at Mary’s House of Refuge Cemetery near Bronson, Texas.
