
Services for Dee will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Forney, Texas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Donna Denise Bowman Dow was called home on December 11,2025. She was born in Orange Texas on November 7,1965 to her parents Donald Dean Bowman and Minnie Inez Mancil. Dee grew up in Orange County Texas. She attended Orangefield high school and graduated in 1984 and then went on to attend University of Houston receiving a bachelor’s degree of science in Hotel Management. After graduating college Dee worked on a charter boat and offshore galley’s, then pursued a job with Texas Health and Human Services where she retired after 24 years. Dee enjoyed spending time with her children and her two granddaughters. She loved reading and spending time outdoors, she was strong in her faith with Heavenly Father. Her favorite calling in church was primary. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She also enjoyed working as a part time park host for the city of Log Cabin, Tx.
Dee was preceded in death by her father and mother Donald and Inez Bowman, Father-In-Law Raleigh Dow, Sister Brenda Welch, Grandparents Joe and Pearl Bowman, Jesse and Leona Mancil. Dee is survived by her husband of 24 years Raleigh E. Dow Jr of Terrell,Tx, Mother-In-Law Sandy Dow of Lumberton,TX, Father and Mother-in-law Larry and Doris Akin of Eureka,Ca. She’s also survived by her children Cody and Rosie Dow of Ukiah,Ca, Stormy Dow of Huntsville,Tx, Emma Dow of Athens,Tx, Grandchildren Scarlett and Abby Dow of Ukiah,Ca. Brothers Larry (Cathy) Norvell of Vidor,Tx, Randy (Julie)Schirck of Friendswood,Tx. Sister Duska (Alan) Nielsen of Vidor,Tx.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Cancer Society.
