Community Christian School senior, Trenton Cummings, signed with the University of Houston-Downtown baseball club, and became the first CCS Lion to move on to the next level.
Cummings, a catcher, also played for the Mid-County Babe Ruth League. At CCS Cummings, a three sport star, was a TAPPS All-District selection last season, hitting .400.
The UHD Gators baseball club team competes in area and national baseball conferences. The team competes against other collegiate club teams in the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) Division II Rocky Lone Star South Region. The conference season is February through April.
