School is out and the temperatures are starting to feel like summer in southeast Texas. There is a place to cool off in Orange from the summer heat. The splash pad in Navy Park is the cure from high temperatures according to Vivian Foster who takes her grandkids there every day. Foster enjoyed the cool water with her granddaughters Journei and Heaviin Dugas and Destynee Nation during the heat of the afternoon. “It’s cold going down your back that first time you’re getting in. When you get used to that water, it’s good,” Foster chuckled. The splash pad located on Morrell and Fifth Street is open every day for those looking to cool down in Orange.
