The Orange Lions Club held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of their most recent service project that started in March of this year. Cody Dunaway has Angelman syndrome and was in need of a ramp and flat surface to get to and from his home. The project was completed in a large part by donations made to the project from local businesses, Akrotex, Sabine River Ford, McCoy’s Lumber, Manshack and Son’s, Duhon Homes, Home Depot, Orange County Plumbing, Riken Metal Works, Metal Depot and Texasramps.org.
Orange Lions Club estimates over 500 man hours were put into this project by many Lions and volunteers who wanted to make a difference. Cody’s parents Don Dunaway and Tabitha Yust provided inspiration by working everyday with the Orange Lions Club. It is amazing what volunteers can do when they work together, Cody’s project was a true community project led by members of the Orange Lions Club.
