SETX High School Fishing held its two day Championship this weekend on Sam Rayburn and Orange County had a great showing at the scales, including the Vidor Bass Club being named the School of the Year. The Pirates had three teams in the Top 12 of the Angler of the Year points. Braden Norton/Caden Williamson were 5th; Tanner Jordan/Logan Killough were 8th, and Lane Jacobs/Maddison Johnson finished 12th. Congratulations to sponsor Robin James and all of their Captains and team. Hundreds of teams from around East Texas competed against each other, and the weather. Our best finishers listed below.
In the Championship, Vidor’s Caden Williamson and Braden Norton finished third and they were fifth in Angler of the Year points.
Orangefield’s Edward SanJuan and Joshua Sonnier were fifth in the Championship with 29.59.
LCM’s Braxton Rambo and Cameron Dougharty were 7th in the Championship and 4th place AOY.
LCM’s Tanner Stewart and Jacob Longlois were 14th in the Championship and 3rd in AOY.
The Vidor team of Lane Jacobs/Maddison Johnson were 12th overall including Lane’s personal best 8.5 hawg. They also finished 12th in AOY.
And Bridge City’s top team in the Championship was Samuel Richey and Dawson Morris who finished 26th.
