Softball and baseball games during Spring Break have been moved around at the start of this week because of what coaches are calling an umpire shortage.

The LCM Lady Bears won a wild one in Vidor 14-6 to stay unbeaten in district. The Lady Bears jumped out to a 10-0 lead third inning before the Pirates rallied to score six in the bottom of the third to make it a contest. The Bears would add four more runs while Tessa Erickson came in for Ella Stephenson and shut down a second Pirate comeback.
Ava White was 4-5 with an RBI while Stephenson and Jacelyn Cook were both 2-4 with 3 RBI’s. Keylie Washburn, Eden Frenzel and Lexi Moss had two hits each as the Bears totaled 16. Eryn Barraza led the Pirates with two of their six hits. Stephenson got the win while K. McCurley took the loss.

The Orangefield Lady Bobcats defeated the East Chambers Lady Bucs 12-0 in 5 innings. Freshman Charlee Sanches got the win on the mound giving up just 3 hits with 5 strikeouts.
Aubree Beck had 2 hits including a double, a run scored and 2 RBIs. Alysen Vincent reached with 3 walks and had 2 runs scored. Rylee Dougay had an RBI. Emily Meyers had 2 hits, 2 RBIs and a run scored. Charlee Sanches had a hit, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Paris Becker had two hits including a triple, an RBI and 2 runs scored. Abby Broussard had a hit, a run scored and 2 runs scored. Hallee Becker had 3 walks, and a run scored. Harleigh Rawls had a run scored. The Lady Bobcats move to 3-1 in district play and play Warren this Friday at home at 5:00/6:30.

BASEBALL
Orangefield defeated East Chambers 16-0 to improve to 2-0 in district play (11-3 overall). Garrett Rawls was the winning pitcher. Big night at the plate for Kyle Michael who was 2-2 with a grand slam. Also catcher Rusten Traxler was 3-3 with a double and 2 RBI’s. Caleb Fregia was 2-3 with a double. The Bobcats will host Warren on Friday.

LCM Bear baseball defeated Woodville Monday 6-2. Landon Richards struck out 8 in the win. Marco Bandiero was 3-4 with an RBI, and Dean Reynolds had a double, triple and an RBI.
