We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Arvor Marie Garrett, 86, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Orange, who departed this life on Friday, May 15, 2026.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Calvary Mortuary staff.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M. on Saturday at the Church.
Arvor’s love and memories will remain in the hearts of her son, Sanford S. Garrett; brothers, Herman Green (Rita), and Joseph E. Greens; grandchildren, Quincy Soloman, and Diondria Garrett-Strong; great-grandchildren, Deja Bell, Pashonce Soloman, DeAndre Amerson, Gabriel Strong, and Ardrianna Rodriguez; great-great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Gillard, Brynieigh Vandor, and Oaklynn Cooper; special nieces, Kelli Handy (Damien), and Elizabeth Crow (Steven); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
