Jeanette Copeland was born October 4, 1942, and passed away May 6, 2026, at the age of 83.
Jeanette was a woman whose life was filled with creativity, love, and quiet joy. She found happiness in painting, often expressing herself through color and imagination, and she treasured the peaceful moments spent with a good book in hand. Above all else, her greatest joy came from the time she shared with her family.
Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life and truly her world. Nothing brought her more happiness than seeing their smiles, hearing their laughter, and creating memories with them. She had a gentle way of making those around her feel loved, welcomed, and important.
She will be remembered for her warm heart, caring spirit, and the love she gave so freely to family and friends. The memories she created and the lives she touched will remain cherished always.
She is survived by her children, Terri Lewis and Larry Copeland; grandchildren, Lindsey Manley and husband Matt, Courteney Lewis, Megan Copeland, and Layne Lewis; 5 great grandchildren; twin sister, Leanette Stark; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; and beloved dog, Toby.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bo and Josephine Ratcliff; son, Gary Copeland; brother, Gladmon Ratcliff; grandchildren, Clayton Lewis and Bo Copeland; father to her children, Ted Copeland.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Dorman-Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home 8808 Highway 87 North, Orange, Texas. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Orange, Texas.
