Huey M. Stidivent, 92, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Kate Dishman Rehabilitation Hospital in Beaumont.
A longtime resident of Vidor, Huey devoted over 50 years of service to the Vidor Volunteer Fire Department, a role he carried with pride and dedication to his community. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: James Gillis McDaniel Jr., Benjamin Stid McDaniel, Brian Keith Williams, Ashley Dianne Elliott, Courtney Rachelle Segal, Dylan Lee Williams, Sherry Elaine Racca, and Stephanie Lynnette Stidivent. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren: Quinton Alee McDaniel, Eryn Ann McDaniel, Hannah Marie McDaniel, Rezin James McDaniel, Jack Henry Williams, Samuel Keith Williams, Lucas Austin Williams, Catherine Ann Williams, Ethan Taylor Kibodeaux, Henry Lee Williams, Arthur James Williams, Matthew Thurman Racca, Jayda Racca, and Jude Racca.
Huey was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Jean Stidivent; his daughter, Catherine Jane Williams; and his grandson, Isaac Lyle McDaniel.
He will be remembered for his long-standing service, his love for life’s simple joys, and the deep care he had for his family and community.
