
The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor softball team placed 11 athletes on the All-American Southwest Conference teams, released Tuesday.
That included former LCM Bears Bailey Frenzel and Madeline Stephenson
Frenzel, a senior first baseman, was named to the Second Team. She started in all 40 games this season. Frenzel hit .360 on the year, leading the Cru with a .604 slugging percentage. She ranked third on the team with 40 hits, adding a team-high 32 RBI. Frenzel scored 12 runs this season with seven home runs and six doubles. She totaled 67 bases and earned 19 walks at the plate. As a first baseman, Frenzel totaled 157 putouts with 11 assists and 12 double plays.
Stephenson was a Third Team selection. A senior second baseman, she started in 38 games for the Cru this season. She hit .267 on the year with 24 hits in 90 at-bats. Stephenson added 18 runs scored with seven RBI, tallying 25 total bases. As a second baseman, Stephenson totaled 83 outs with 39 assists in 136 chances. She also fielded eight doubles plays, fielding .971.
