Violet P Brown, age 81, of Orange, Tx passed away on May 28, 2023.
While Violet dearly loved her church, First Baptist Deweyville, she has requested that there be no formal service. The family and friends will schedule a future date to gather and celebrate Violet’s new heavenly home.
Violet Brown was born on September 24, 1941 in Stuart, Florida, to Henry and Pauline Crews. She was married to Fred Chapman the father of their 3 children for 20 years. Violet was blessed to have the love of her life Norman Brown as her husband for 30 years. They had 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Nanny was remembered for her chicken and dumplings amongst other recipes she used to enjoy preparing for friends and family. She played the piano and organ for her church for many years before spending the last 10 years in Focused Care nursing home where she spent a lot of time reading and praying for others.
Violet is preceded in death by her first husband Fred Chapman, mother Pauline Crews, father Henry Crews, husband Norman Brown, son Fred Chapman, and daughter Lia Woods.
Violet is survived by daughter and son in law, Polly and Mike Gamblin, daughter in law Mary Chapman, son in law Michael Woods; Sisters and brother in laws, Judy and Jim Criniti, Mary Raye and Clifford Smith, Alice and Jim Finocchiaro; grandchildren, Seth and Kayley Gamblin, Justin Granger, and Nicole Chapman; great Grandchildren, Aubree Beck and Anastyn Gamblin and faithful friend, Karen Laughlin.
