
Orange police made two drug arrests at houses on Thursday.
The narcotics division Thursday evening worked with the West Orange Police Department and the Tactical Response Team to search at house in the 2000 block of Rio Grande at 7:47 p.m.
Sergeant J.C. Steele reported officers found methamphetamine and hydrocodone, along with a gun. Joshua Wade Denmon was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail. He faces two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance plus a charge of being a felon in possession of a gun.
The other arrest was made at 9:14 a.m. at a house in the 1300 block of Cypress Avenue. Officer N.A. Medina reported he had information that a man wanted for warrants was at the house. The officer said he knew from experience the man was a flight risk.
The officer went to the back of the house and could see a man dressed as a woman on the screened porch. Medina said he could see a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine along with other paraphernalia.
Medina reported the man told him he is in the process of transitioning.
The man was arrested for five misdemeanor warrants, three for not having car insurance and two for expired license plates.
40-year-old Marcus Andrew Boyle of Orange was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail. Officer Medina reported jail staff found a capsule container in the man’s bra. The container had a small amount of meth and Boyle is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
The Horseman Store at 519 Lutcher Drive off Interstate 10 called police to report a team shoplifting about 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Police report three people came inside, grabbed several items and ran out without paying.
