
Most of the local boys teams had their final tuneup game Tuesday before district play begins Friday.
The LCM Bears went to Liberty and beat the Panthers 71-59. Katon Brown had 27-13 and Braden Bridges added 21 for the Bears (15-10). JJ Slack led Liberty with 12. The Bears will host Bridge City Friday to open district.

OF lost to Huffman at home 56-39. Aven Lathrop lead the Bobcats with 17. Bobcats travel to Silsbee Friday. The Tigers beat HJ Tuesday 87-62.

Deweyville dumped Colmesneil 49-40. Nate Buxton had 22-6. Darin LaVergne added 12-7 and Landen Thompson 11-6. The Pirates go to Evadale for district play Friday.

Deweyville defeated Sabine Pass 54-23. Malaysia Jones led all scorers with 13 whil Brooke Smith and Grace Nicholson had 11 each. DV plays at Evadale Friday.
