Debra Michelle Flowers, 48, of Foley, Alabama, passed away July 1, 2017, Saturday ather home. Known for her strength, and resilience, she fought a 14 month long battle with pancreatic cancer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 21287 County Rd. 12, Foley, Alabama. Officiating will be Boyd Knau, an elder from Lake Houston, Texas Congregation.
The daughter of Charles and Peggy Harris, Debra was born on October 15, 1968 in Orange, Texas. An Orange native, she graduated from Orangefield High School in 1987. Debra was also a faithful servant to Jehovah, dedicating her life to Him through baptism on June 30, 1984. She maintained her loyal service to Jehovah as an active member of the Foley East Congregation. Attending, and participating, in meetings twice weekly at the Kingdom Hall, as well as sharing her Bible-based faith with others through the door-to-door ministry brought much joy to her life. Because of her strong relationship with her God, Jehovah, she was able to courageously and bravely to endure her battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Viola Harris, Grand Parents, Johnny and Vivian Myers.
Debra is survived by her parents and her loving husband of 16 years, Travis Flowers. Son, Clary Colby Chesson and (wife) Bayleigh of Bridge City, Tx Daughter, Amanda Morales and (husband) Michael of Foley, Alabama, Grandson, Kai Morales, Granddaughter, Evelyn Morales, Stepsons, Blake Flowers and Kolby Flowers, Brother, David Harris of Fairhope, Alabama, Sisters, Diane Webb and (husband) Andy of Longbeach, Mississippi, Amber Harris of Cypress, Texas, Courtney Manshack and (husband) Michael of Orange, Texas, Aunt, Linda Myers of Orange, Texas and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was dearly loved by her nieces and nephews who affectionately called her “Mimi”.
