Wednesday night a 12 year old girl ran out of road after leading Orange Police on a chase.
On January 12 OPD attempted to stop a white car in the 2100 block of Park. The vehicle did not have any taillights illuminated.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit. During the pursuit, the suspect rammed a City of Orange Police Unit, causing minor damage. The vehicle led officers through the Charlemont neighborhood and then to the intersection of 16th Street and Interstate 10.
The suspect turned into the construction area where the road has not been completed, disabling the vehicle. Officers were able to remove the suspect from the vehicle, learning afterward that the suspect was a 12 year old female. The suspect has been detained and being transported to a juvenile detention facility.
