WOS grad Laquarious Paige, a starter for the Indiana State men’s basketball team in 2017, will not be back for the 2017-18 season and is no longer enrolled at ISU.
Paige was about to enter his junior season of eligibility. Paige played in 29 games in 2017, starting 24 of them, and averaged 6.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
ISU coach Greg Lansing made a statement in an official university release, but had no further comment.
“Laquarious will not be a part of our team for the upcoming season,” Lansing said. “He is a wonderful young man with a bright future and all of us within our program love him and will miss him. We thank him for all that he has done for us and wish him nothing but the very best as we all move forward. We’re extremely excited about our team and the upcoming season.”
Paige told KOGT he hasn’t decided where he may take his talents.
