Orange police are looking for an ATV that was taken from the old Riverside area off Simmons Drive. The ATV was reported stolen at 3:50 Monday afternoon.
Detective Captain Robert Enmon said some people had been riding four-wheelers when someone fell off. His friends took him to an emergency center for medical treatment. When they returned an ATV was missing.
A woman called police Monday evening from the Park Avenue Manor apartments, 2540 West Park Avenue after her partner pulled a gun and threatened her. The call came at 6:43 p.m. Captain Enmon said the couple had gotten in a fight and the man drew the gun. The woman managed to get away and go to a neighbor’s apartment.
On Sunday evening, a 24-year-old man in the Linkwood Apartments was injured when four men attacted him inside his apartment. Police were notified by a local emergency center about the man’s injuriees at 6:06 p.m. Captain Enmon said the victim knew some of the men, but police are investigating why they attacked the victim.
An employee at Flying J truck stop, 7112 Interstate 10, found a handgun hidden in the men’s bathroom Monday afternoon. Orange police went to the business at 1:38 p.m. The employee cleaning the men’s room found the gun wrapped in paper towels and hidden behind a toilet. Police report the gun had not been reported stolen. Officers took the weapon to keep at the police station.
Two teenagers escaped injury Saturday night when the pickup truck they were in went off FM 1130 and flipped over. Orange police were called to the 11000 block of FM 1130 at 11:17 p.m.
Officer B.P. Latiolais reported a Chevrolet Silverado driven by 19-year-old Dillan DeRouche was traveling southbound in the area that had a 55 mph speed limit. The truck left the roadway and hit a Texas Department of Transportation sign. The truck then traveled through an open field before rolling over and landing upside down. DeRouche and his passenger, 16-year-old Katelyn Fawvon, were not injured.
