Amy L. Weakley, a resident of Bridge City Texas was born on September 14, 1931 and passed away on August 13, 2017 at the age of 85.
She was the essence of compassion, duty, style and of beauty. She had a boundless smile and a joy for life that resonated with everyone who made her acquaintance.
She was born to Robert L. and Decima Raffield in September 1931 in Crooked Sound, Florida. She married J. L. “Sparks” Weakley at the age of 16. They were married 60 plus years when “her biggest fan,” the love of her life, when to be with the Lord. They had three children, Landers, Gail and Brenda, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was a homemaker until her children left home. She became a real estate broker, operating Amy Weakley Realty for around 10 years.
Amy was a lady, both elegant and beautiful. She was devoted to God, spending hours in prayer for others, for the church and for this country. She was an encouraging woman and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Her passion was reflecting the love of God and she did so by serving others with all her heart. Colossians 3:23 says, “And whatsoever you do, do it heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men.” SHE LIVED IT! Whatever God wants to instill in each of us, she willingly allowed Him to pour into her. He made her who she was.
If she were here, she would want you to KNOW the intense love God has for YOU.
