A handful of burglaries, including one at a business, have been reported to Orange police during the past days. The business was the Star Stop at 1101 Green Avenue. The burglary was reported about 9 Thursday morning. Police said someone broke in and stole money.
On Friday at 7:30 a.m., a resident in the 200 block of Dewey Avenue, called to report broken windows. The resident had been at a friend’s house overnight and no one was there when she left. Police reported two windows on the back side were broken. They appeared to have been made by a fist or blunt object hitting from inside. Nothing was reported missing.
Friday afternoon, the owner of a house in the 1600 block of Ninth Street reported that a number of items had been stolen from his vacant house.
A number of tools were stolen from a house and a backyard shed in the 4200 block of Willowglen Street. The resident called police at 6:40 p.m. Friday after returning home to find the back door unlocked and a back window ajar. In addition, the shed was open.
On Sunday afternoon, a resident in the Sabine Park Apartments, 111 Pine Avenue, reported a break-in with a 55-inch TV stolen.s
