Two convenience stores in Orange were robbed by gunmen during the weekend.
Orange police report the Stop and Drive at 1801 DuPont Drive was robbed Friday evening about 6.
Then the Star Stop at 1402 16th Street was robbed at 9:44 Sunday night.
Detective Captain Cliff Hargrave said in both robberies, the clerks described a black handgun. The robber at the store on DuPont Drive is described as a black male wearing dark clothing and a hoodie jacket. Something was covering his face. He took cash from the store and left.
The Star Stop robber is described as a black male with a ski mask and wearing a white hoodie jacket. In addition to demanding cash, the robber asked for Newport cigarettes. Police report the clerk gave him two packs of the cigarettes.
