Orange police Wednesday night caught two juveniles at an apartment complex laundry room where two previous break-ins had occurred during the past few days.
Officer Brian Latiolais reported that Officer Dustin Myers went into the parking lot at the James Zay Roberts Apartments, 610 Burton Avenue, a few minutes before 8 p.m. Officer Myers saw two juveniles were walking away from the door to the laundry room.
Officer Latiolais said someone had tried to pry the deadbolt off the door and damaged the door frame. He found a screw driver on the grass near bushes by the door.
Management at the apartments had called police Tuesday morning to report that dryers in the laundry room had been found damaged on Monday morning and then again on Tuesday morning. Two dryers had been pulled from their places and turned over. Attempts were made to pry open boxes but no money was missing. Police Tuesday found a broken screw driver.
