Sales taxes for the largest cities in Orange County remain strong for the year as the state comptroller has sent money collected for the month of July. The payments are:
Bridge City (1.5 percent tax rate): $110,527 for the month and $1.126 million for the year to date.
Orange (1.5 percent tax rate): $300,500 for the month and $3 million for the year to date.
Pinehurst (1.5 percent tax rate): $44,602 for the month and $473,276 for the year to date.
Vidor (1.5 percent tax rate): $185,625 for the month and $1.97 million for the year to date.
West Orange (1.25 percent tax rate): $89,430 for the month and $872,563 for the year to date.
Orange County, which has a 0.5 percent sales tax rate, received $416,248 for July and had $3.6 million for the year to date.
The Orange County Emergency Services District No. 3 (Little Cypress Fire and Rescue) has a 1.5 percent sales tax. The district received $16,910 for the month and $278,328 for the year to date.
